Kings Robbery
Effect:
Start the trick by telling a story about four kings robbing a store (The four kings are separated from the rest of the deck). One day the infamous thieves known as the kings decide to rob a local store. They decide to enter the store from the roof (as you saying this show the spectators the four kings and place them on top of the deck).
The first king says "I'll take the DVD player from the first floor" (then take the first king and place it on the bottom of the deck). The next king says "Then I will go the second floor and see what I like" (place the second king somewhere near the bottom, as it goes to a floor higher than the first king) The third king says "I'll steal the diamonds from the third floor(place the king somewhere above the second king in the deck), The fourth king says, "I'll be the look out, if I see cops coming, I will warn you and you should all come back to the roof."
The robbery begins, and soon the king on the lookout spots cops are coming, so he starts warning the other three, as they all gathered at the top again, they escaped from the roof (as you are saying this, reveal the top four cards one by one, and the audience will be impressed that all four cards reveal are kings).
Procedure:
The whole trick is done right at the very beginning. When you showing the audience the four Kings card, hide 3 other cards behind them, and don’t let the audience see the hidden cards. In other words, you are showing the four kings but you are actually holding 7 cards. So as you are telling the story and removing the 3 cards that are meant to be kings, you are actually removing the 3 hidden cards with the kings untouched. When you finished telling the story, reveal the four kings that have never been moved.
